The “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal, operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), and “Licorne Gulf Qatar” have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The memorandum envisages supporting startups’ access to international investment sources, the application of green technologies and digital solutions, the development of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems, as well as the implementation of other joint initiatives and the expansion of strategic partnership opportunities.
The MOU was signed by Isa Gasimov, Head of the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal operated by CAERC, and Irina Duisimbekova, President and Co-Founder of “Licorne Gulf Qatar.”
The “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated September 19, 2018. The main purpose of the portal is to increase the country’s investment attractiveness and to create opportunities for the use of alternative financing sources for economic development.
“Licorne Gulf Qatar” is a part of Licorne Gulf Holding, Active for 27 years in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar, Licorne Gulf, led by Irina Duisimbekova and Alexandre Katrangi, is renowned for its significant financial contributions to European football and its investments in industrial projects in the Gulf region. These ventures are conducted in partnership with CAC40 and Fortune 500 companies. The holding is well-known for its influence among royal families and prominent family-owned businesses, facilitating high-stakes transactions through its complex networks and strategic alliances. Recent significant ventutre has been made with Institut Choiseul to for a common JV in Qatar named Choiseul Arabian Gulf.
