A meeting of the "Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Standards" subgroup of the "Corporate Governance, Investments and Corporate Social Responsibility" working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held.
Representatives of relevant government agencies and the private sector, as well as experts, participated in the meeting, organized in an online format by the Commission and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).
Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings, Sector Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Samir Humbatov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KOBİA, shared their views and suggestions on the activities of the ESG subgroup in 2025, the measures taken, and the goals for the coming period.
The meeting discussed the work done on the Roadmap for 2025 to stimulate and promote the application of ESG principles and measures for 2026, as well as presentations on global trends in ESG standards, stimulating the application of ESG principles through the financing and lending system, and the State Oil Company shared its ESG experience.
The meeting was attended by İsa Qasımov, Head of the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal, which is operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
