Mentorship support aimed at fostering startup growth, attracting investment, and expanding access to international markets continues under the "Startup School 4: Five Continents – 500 Startups" global innovation program, implemented by the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The program provides startups with mentorship in areas such as product and business model development, investment attraction, business scaling, and market expansion. This support enables startups to further develop their potential, devise solutions to emerging challenges, and prepare for the next stage of growth.
One of the projects receiving this mentorship is "EnergyX," a startup founded by Adem Mammadov. "EnergyX" is an AI-powered energy management platform designed with the specifics of Azerbaijan's tiered electricity tariff system in mind. The platform helps users monitor energy consumption and optimize costs.
"EnergyX" has achieved a number of successes in a short period. The startup secured 12,000 AZN in seed investment after taking second place in the Academic Entrepreneurship-Based Startup and Incubation Program (ASSIP). It also ranked among the top 140 startups out of 711 applicants in the "TechCrunch Startup Battlefield" competition. Furthermore, it won first place in a grant competition organized by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, receiving 3,500 AZN in grant funding.
The mentorship provided to participating startups within the framework of "Startup School 4" covers areas such as product development, business model refinement, the assessment of investment opportunities, the formulation of strategies for entering international markets, and other key aspects.
