With an increasing number of population, the Earth is subjected to multifarious detrimental effects in terms of plastic contamination, simultaneously poor food waste management is another core problem subject of the modersues have been offered in recent years, they have also had certain limitations globe. Although there are several techniques to solve these aforementioned issues, most were not able to handle them completely because of certain limitations. GreenPack's project supports the production of fully bio-based packaging materials from wasted food. The raw materials will be produced from food waste and be degraded under natural conditions in 3-6 months whereas usual plastic materials need hundreds of years to disappear. Firstly, food waste will be taken from the places which throw food as waste such as restaurants, cafes, catering facilities and similar public places, and then required components will be extracted from them by applying special techniques. Then proper amount of required - components will be mixed and undergone gelatinization process under the temperature of 70- 75 ℃. Subsequently, drying and casting will be executed for obtaining the final product. In this project, it will be possible to change the mechanical properties of materials such as oxygen permeability, water vapor permeability, fragility, thermal resistance, low processability and vulnerability to degradation, flexibility, transparency tensile strength and so on by changing the proportions of components which allows the application in a large parts of areas where currently plastics are used. All in one, in case of implementation of the project, it will have significantly important and positive influences on the abovementioned problems, and let the human being to live in the world without plastics and their detrimental effects.
