The VisionVoiceAssist project is an artificial intelligence-based smart guide glasses created to ensure the full integration of visually impaired people into society. The main goal of the project is to enable physically impaired people to move freely, recognize money and read written information without the help of an outsider. The technical features of the device are based on the "Hybrid Edge-Cloud" architecture. Thus, through the YOLOv8 neural network running on the Raspberry Pi 5 platform, the device identifies obstacles (cars, people, stairs, poles) at a speed of one thousandth of a second even in conditions without internet, calculates their direction and millimeter distance and sends a voice warning to the user in Azerbaijani. If connected to the Internet, thanks to the Google Gemini AI integration, the device recognizes Azerbaijani manat (banknotes), reads books and menus, and also fully describes the scene ahead. Our product has a cost price (500 AZN) approximately 20 times cheaper than foreign analogues (for example, OrCam - $ 4000) and is available on the market completely in Azerbaijani (in local language). This not only increases accessibility for the local market, but also fully complies with the state's 'Smart City' and 'Inclusive Society' strategies. The working prototype of the project is ready and is fully open for investment for mass production.
