The “Green and Digital Silk Road” international acceleration program, held by the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) within the framework of the “Startup School 3” project, has ended. The “Demo Day” event, which is the finale of the program, was held at the Azerbaijan Innovation Center.

The opening part of the event began with an exhibition of startup projects that reached the final stage of the acceleration program. More than 30 startups from Azerbaijan and Turkey demonstrated innovative projects. The exhibition presented technological solutions covering green energy, digital technologies, agrarian innovations, artificial intelligence, education, medicine, tourism, chemical industry and other areas.

The projects were evaluated by a jury. The jury consisted of representatives of venture funds representing Azerbaijan, Malta, the USA and Turkey.

In the continuation of the “Demo Day”, the Executive Director of the Institute of Innovation, Technology and Innovation, Professor Vusal Gasimli, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Issues Bahar Muradova, the Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency Farid Osmanov, and the Director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy Javid Abdullayev made speeches and provided information on the work carried out to develop the innovation ecosystem in the country and expand international cooperation.

Then, the Head of the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal Isa Gasimov made a presentation on the goals, stages and results of the program.

The startup teams “Agro Gemtin”, “Smart Bin”, “The Bioplastic”, “Green Guest”, “SoilCredit”, “Zeuph” and “Science Delta” participating in the exhibition were also given the opportunity to make additional presentations.
