There are hectares of soil in the world and particularly in Azerbaijan, polluted by hydrocarbon, aliphatic and aromatic structures, as well as toxic, hazardous pollutants as nonorganic elements like fluoride, bromide, iodide, or chloride that makes the soil uncultivable. To harness that soil aftermath to cultivate technical plants such as sunflower, corn, cotton and so on is worked out. The proposal is to systematically build a soil characteristics & plant uptake map, collect data from field, use IBM watsonx.ai or Cloud Pack for Data (Lite Plan) to enhance the dataset by feature engineering; then use Google Compute Engine TPU to train it (with the best optimized weights). This Machine Learning system can help governments and organizations with better planning on sustainable utilizing the unusable, uncultivable soil to help economy grow and ecology foster. Technical Details: Both analog numerical and digital imagery data is examined. Using Roboflow Universe for building the CV dataset and CNN-based arch- YOLOv8 (from Ultralytics) to settle inference less than 100 milliseconds. The final Complex System includes Web and WebView mobile applications for the stakeholders with on-site analysis set of sensing tools and the on-cloud application server for AI/ML aided decision-making algorithms. Prior Experience: I've conducted several research (ORCID ID: 0009-0009-3433-2816) on both for NLP (recent study: computational linguistics on Tolstoy's style) and CV (recent study: public-service for the physically disabled) problems using Deep Learning as well as written Cybersecurity manuscripts for the Corporate Information System's Security (SAST, opten.hu - on contract). I'm a certified AI/ML & Data Science Instructor (issued by IBM in 2023, 2024). And my specialization is Complex Systems. I'd also like to mention the collaboration on the project with Ali Guliyev of Akdeniz University, for Agrochemistry/Plant Nutrition specialization. Economic Impact: This system is essentially marketable to both individual organizations and governments (in B2G model) as SaaS. Apart from the trading opportunity, ecologically, it holds synergic importance aligned with sustainable green future. It encapsulates the process of remediation of the soil using modern methods built upon the world practice 3. And with the support from entrepreneurs, we aim to take this idea from conceptualization to implementation for good, for our society, for the world! References: 1.
