CAERC and OECD will held an international conference on the “Economic Reforms: Entrepreneurship Development and Diversification” on 29 March 2021 in Baku. The main purpose of the conference is to further strengthen relations between the Eurasian region and the OECD countries, expand cooperation on economic and social development of the region, as well as discuss solutions to existing problems in this area.
Head of Eurasia Department, Global Relations Secretariat, William Thompson will make a speech on "Economic Reforms in Azerbaijan: Entrepreneurship Development and Diversification". OECD has prepared an analysis on "Supporting reforms and economic diversification to increase the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises in Azerbaijan" within the Eurasian Competitiveness Program. The review aims to support the study and successful application of international experience on the articles identified for the implementation of the "Strategic Roadmap for the production of consumer goods at the level of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Azerbaijan", as well as to inform OECD member countries about Azerbaijan's positive results.
The report on "Acceleration of diversification by strengthening entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan" and "Coordination of foreign investment with local suppliers" prepared as an intermediate stage of the review was presented by the Azerbaijani delegation to the participant countries in "Eurasia Week 2018" event in France.
High-ranking representatives of the Azerbaijani government and international organizations will take part in the international conference "Economic Reforms: Entrepreneurship Development and Diversification" in Baku.
