An online meeting was held between Isa Gasimov, the head of the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal, operated by the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (CAERC), and Mert Çeliksoy, a techno-introduction specialist at the National Technology and Artificial Intelligence Directorate of the Republic Of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the development of the startup ecosystem, mutual cooperation in the field of innovation, exchange of experience and joint initiatives.
Isa Gasimov provided the meeting participant with detailed information about the “Startup School” programs implemented by the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal, the international partnership model and the “Turkic Startup School” initiative currently in the design stage. It was noted that the main goal of the project is to strengthen cooperation between the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems of the Turkic world countries, support the access of startups to international markets and contribute to the formation of a single innovation platform for the region.
Mert Çeliksoy, in turn, provided information about the “Turcorn 100” program aimed at the development of high-level technology entrepreneurship in Turkey. The meeting discussed the experience formed within the framework of the program, the development mechanisms of technology-based entrepreneurship and future cooperation prospects.
It should be noted that the “Turcorn 100” program is a national initiative implemented to accelerate the development of Turkey's technology-based entrepreneurial ecosystem and support the formation of startups with global "unicorn" potential. Within the framework of the program, various support mechanisms are applied to enable technology startups with high development potential to access international markets, expand investment opportunities and rapidly scale up.
Finally, the parties agreed to continue the exchange of experience in the development of innovation and startup ecosystems, as well as to expand cooperation in the preparation and implementation of joint projects.
